CHARTER
- Name: The name of this organization shall be the Lake City Game Creators at Lake City High School, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho (aka LCGC).
- The LCGC Mission Statement: The purpose of this organization shall be to:
- Promote computer game building above game playing
- To seek a deeper appreciation of our universe by trying to simulate its beauty and complexity
- Encourage beginners with free and friendly tutoring
- Favor group simulation projects using engines that have educational licenses or are owned by the members
- Host regular events for members to play the worlds they have created
- Host regular bonding events to play popular and appropriate multiplayer group games
- Affiliation: The LCGC will be open to consider affiliation with other official campus computer clubs throughout the nation
- Membership.
- Any registered LCHS students, faculty, and staff interested may officially join the organization, although anyone may attend meetings and events hosted by the organization.
- Only registered LCHS students may hold office and vote in elections for the organization's officers.
- Only the student officers shall spend the organization's funds.
- Events, meetings, and promotion of views.
- The LCGC shall meet to work Monday through Thursday 2:30 - 4:30 during the academic year.
- Fridays and teacher workdays will be reserved for aforementioned LAN events
- Only 2 year officer-members may officiate in the absence of an advisor
- The LCGC shall host discussion meetings according to the statement of purpose.
- When the LCGC promotes its views to the campus, it shall abide by all campus policies.
- Officers.
- The organization shall have 3 officers:
- President
- Shall have a good understanding of level design, world editing, engine procedures
- Shall use and convey this knowledge whenever necessary at events, meetings, and promotions of the organization.
- Shall be the official spokesperson for the organization on issues related to game design.
- Shall publicly adhere to and abide by the statement of purpose of the organization.
- Shall present the LCHS student council with a report at the end of each academic year detailing the major activities of LCGC that uphold the mission statement
- Forums Moderator
- Shall have a good understanding or forum operation , posting relevant and responsive topics , and cleaning dead or inappropriate threads
- Shall use and convey this knowledge whenever necessary at events, meetings, and promotions of the organization.
- Shall be the official notifier of scheduled events.
- Shall publicly adhere to and abide by the statement of purpose of the organization.
- Guilds Coordinator
- Shall coordinate and facilitate the LCGC MMORPG subgroups.
- Shall abide by all LCHS campus policies when promoting the organization or its views.
- Shall publicly adhere to and abide by the statement of purpose of the organization.
- Failure of any officer to uphold the duties of their office are grounds for removal from office.
- An officer may be removed from office by a 2/3 vote of the registered LCGC student members of the organization.
- Criteria for holding office.
- All individuals holding office must be registered LCHS students and be elected by a majority vote of the registered student members of the organization voting at the elections meeting.
- The elections meeting shall take place in September of each year.
- In the case of a resignation of an officer from office, a special elections meeting may be held to fill the office until the next elections meeting.
- All officers hold their position until the September elections meeting.
- There are no limitations on the number of terms of office an individual may hold.
