Choices
A values oriented, moral dilemma game of discussion and evaluation of challenges that an individual encounters from childhood to old age. The situations and questions appear on cards with choices to make. Players can create their own responses and more situations to enter into the game. Any group that gathers for some learning about living will find this game a useful tool to stimulate values discussion in a non-competitive framework.
Includes: 14 x 18" play pad, 4 sets of questions, for childhood, adolescence, middle years and old age, mover, die, game, complete rules. |
Peace in our Time
Six Nations must solve internal affairs without creating conflicts within their own borders. As the game progresses, hot spots could develop — and by game’s end several or all of the Nations could be at war. The game is then lost. Each Nation create a balanced territory so that a balanced world results in which population does not exceed land and resources and work is available for everyone. On the religious, cultural and political side, all sectors are also in balance with no particular sector dominating another. The key to achieving this balance is Right Education, in which intelligence and compassion are nurtured. How well the players use Right Education and deploy the other factors within their borders while making trades to assist each other across borders will determine the degree of success in establishing firm and lasting peace in our time.
Includes: 6 nation charts, 2 sets of cards (110 total) consisting of population, land/resources, work/technology, religion/culture, politics/military and right education, die, rules. |
UNTRIVIA
A question and answer game with two special features. First, the questions are practical, not trivial. Expect many hours of enjoyable conversation about topics such as Child-rearing, Gardening, Everyday Law, Travel, Health, Cooking, Car and Home Care, etc. Second, Untrivia is co-operative. Players share ideas, discuss the possible answers, and decide on the best one to go for. A snakes and ladders type of board provides some pitfalls and pleasant surprises.
Includes: 13 x 18" board, thousands of questions, book with detailed answers, team mover, goof tokens, dice |
New America
Given our economic and social problems, this game is prophetic. Players act as Research and Development teams trying to redesign North America's Social-Economic System before it's too late. The focus is on Energy and Resources, but all fields are explored. Whatever the interest, this game tries to address it. Very suitable for thinking friends, high school and college classes. Designed to provoke discussion among mature, thinking people! |
The Farmers Market
We are customers visiting the Market. Some times we buy things. Some times we just look. Sometimes we return stuff. It’s up to us to decide what to buy or just look at. Each Vendor must sell enough to be able to come back another day. If they don’t make some money or even lose money, they will leave. So, the object is to watch out for everyone’s welfare. To do this well, we must discuss, plan, & problem-solve together, so everyone will enjoy some success. Lots of decision making for each player. The basic game plays quickly, with an advanced game for older players.
Includes: 12 booths, 50 tokens of looking, buying and returning. |
Community
A game about communal living. We try to develop a happy, complete village. There are hardships and opportunities. There are Bad Feelings to handle with Love and Forgiveness. The Meeting hall is the heart of the community. If we succeed in building a community, we all win together. A medium-complicated game that explores both material and spiritual values.
Includes: 17 x 17" board, dice, resource tokens, movers, event cards, score sheets. |
Earth Game
No, not a war game but a peace game! Players look after Fictional Nations, managing resources and solving the emerging problems. You have to be quick thinking and compassionate to deal with rapidly changing circumstances. What to do? Try Consultation, Trade Agreements, Economic Communities, training and deploying Peace Armies to cool out conflict, Planetary Meetings... The game is won when Spaceship Earth's problems are solved. The game is lost if you allow a World War to break out.
Includes: 17 x 22" board, Earth cards, action chart, nation cards, resource and problem tokens, billion dollar bills, dice. |
Power Blackout!
Within 16 rounds or fewer, bring Power to all 100 Populated Centers on the Continent. We are CEOs in control of our own Power Grids on the Continent. Each of us is responsible for bringing and maintaining full electrical service to our Populated Centers. There are Bonus Revenues and other Perks for fully servicing one’s own Area. However, as we have learned from several recent Blackouts, each Grid is interdependent with other Grids, so CEOs must work together for the survival of the Continental Power System. Negotiation and deal-making skills are very important to everyone’s success. Thus, tension is created between balancing the needs of one’s own constituency and the overall good. When is it best to compromise and when is it best to be selfish? The well-being of millions of people are at stake.
Includes: 17 x 17" board, rules, action summary cards, 100 tower/blackout tokens, bank notes (1, 5, 10, 20 and 50 million dollars), set of play cards including a CEO card, 12 continental areas, 12 power plants, 16 year/going rates, a variety of good and bad news cards. |
